Allocated gold means specific physical gold bars, or a recorded share in grams of an identified bar, are allocated to you and recorded to you by bar serial number. Unallocated gold, by contrast, is a general claim against a bank or dealer rather than specific metal.
Why it matters
- You own the physical metal, recorded against each bar's serial number.
- Your metal is recorded separately from Eona's own assets.
- It is stored with an independent vault operator, Loomis, in Dubai.
All metal bought through Eona is allocated to identified bars. We do not lend, lease or pledge your metal. It belongs to you and is recorded separately from Eona's own assets; even so, if Eona became insolvent, recovering your metal or its value could take time and involve costs. See our Risk Disclosure.
