How long does it take to open an EONA account?

Sign-up takes a few minutes. Verification is often quick but can take longer if we need more information or a manual review.

Is verification required for browsing?

No. You can create an account and explore the dashboard without completing KYC. However, you won’t be able to send payments or make purchases until verification is complete.

What countries does EONA accept clients from?

Eligibility depends on your country of residence and our compliance checks. We cannot accept clients from sanctioned or restricted jurisdictions. You’ll be told during onboarding if we cannot open an account for you.

What if my verification fails?

In rare cases, we may request additional documentation or a manual review. Our support team will guide you through the process if anything is unclear or flagged.

Can I open a business account?

Yes. Business and other entity accounts are available subject to additional checks. Contact our team to start onboarding for corporate or institutional accounts.

How to Open Your Account

Why We Made This Simple

Opening a precious metals account used to involve paperwork, phone calls and intermediaries. EONA lets you open and verify your account online.

Step 1: Start with Your Email

Go to eona.ae and click Sign-In. You’ll be asked to enter your email and create a password. Your data is sent over encrypted connections and handled in line with our Privacy Policy.

Once you confirm your email address, you’ll have access to your private dashboard — but full functionality (like buying or selling metals) requires completing verification.

Step 2: Identity Verification (KYC)

EONA (Bullion Link Trading FZCO) is registered as a Dealer in Precious Metals and Stones with the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism for AML purposes, so we must verify every customer (Know Your Customer, KYC). This also protects you.

You'll need:

A valid government-issued ID (passport or national ID card)
A selfie (to match your ID)
A proof of address (e.g., utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months)

We use a specialist identity verification provider. We will ask for your consent before your biometric data (your selfie) is processed. Many checks are completed quickly, but some need manual review.

Step 3: Protect Your Account

Choose a strong, unique password and keep it private. EONA will never ask you for your password by email or phone.

Step 4: Pay for Your Purchase

Once verified, you pay by:

Bank transfer in AED or USD
From a bank account in your own name
We do not accept cards, cash or crypto-assets

Money you send is held only as payment for metal (“Funds for purchases”), earns no interest and is refunded automatically if not used within 30 days.

Step 5: Make Your First Purchase

Once your payment has arrived, choose the metal and quantity. You’ll see the price (based on the international spot price plus a premium), the 1.00% commission plus 5% VAT and the total before you confirm.

Once you confirm your order, your holding is allocated to specific bars stored with Loomis in Dubai, and you can view it in your account.
