Guide to Gold

Vault Storage and Insurance

Gold bought through EONA is stored with Loomis, an independent vault operator, in a high-security facility in Dubai. Here is how storage and the vault operator’s insurance work.

When you buy physical gold, secure storage matters. At EONA, all allocated gold is stored with Loomis in Dubai, recorded against specific bars and separately from EONA’s own assets.

The vault operator, Loomis, maintains insurance under its own policy. EONA does not promise that this insurance covers you or your metal directly or in full.

What Insurance Does — and Doesn’t — Mean

Insurance at a vault is arranged by the vault operator for its own business. Its terms, limits and exclusions are set by the operator’s policy, not by EONA.

Insurance never covers changes in the gold price. If the price falls, the value of your holding falls.

Built on Professional Infrastructure

All metal stored via EONA is held in a professional, non-bank vault operated by Loomis in Dubai. Zurich and Singapore are planned locations (coming soon) and are not currently available.

Professional vaults typically include:

  • Controlled access and security staff
  • Continuous monitoring
  • Protective design and contingency procedures

These measures reduce the risk of physical loss, but no arrangement removes every risk.

Clear Records

Storage is charged at 0.50% per year for gold and 1.00% per year for silver, plus 5% VAT. See our Fees & Spread page.

EONA records your holding against specific bars, separately from EONA’s own assets. This matters: it makes clear what belongs to whom.
