Is registration free?

Yes. There are no fees to open an account or complete verification. You pay the price shown (spot plus a premium, or minus a discount when you sell) and a commission when you buy or sell, and storage fees while you hold metal.

Why does EONA require identity verification?

To comply with UAE anti-money-laundering rules that apply to dealers in precious metals, and to make sure your holding is recorded to the right person.

Can I open an account if I live outside the UAE?

Customers outside the UAE may be able to register, subject to our eligibility and compliance checks. We cannot accept clients from sanctioned or restricted jurisdictions.

What documents do I need to complete registration?

You’ll need a valid ID, a proof of address and a device with a camera for the biometric check. Files are uploaded over an encrypted connection.

Simple Registration Process

Many financial platforms make onboarding complicated. EONA keeps it simple while meeting our compliance obligations. Whether you're an individual or an institution, getting started is straightforward.

Step 1: Start with Basic Information
We begin with just the essentials.
Enter your name and email, and create a secure password. You’ll receive a verification email.

This stage is quick, and the compliance checks come next.

Step 2: Identity Verification (KYC)
EONA is registered as a Dealer in Precious Metals and Stones with the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism for AML purposes, so we must verify every customer (Know Your Customer, KYC).

You'll be asked to:

Upload a government-issued ID (passport or national ID)
Provide a selfie for a biometric match (we ask for your consent first)
Confirm your address with a recent utility bill or bank statement

Our verification partner runs encrypted checks to confirm your identity. Many are completed quickly; some need manual review.

Step 3: Protect Your Account
Choose a strong, unique password and keep it private. EONA will never ask for your password by email or phone.

Step 4: Choose Your Account Type
You can register as:

An individual
A company or other legal entity
An institutional client (through our team)

Entity accounts require additional documents about the entity and the people who own or control it.

Step 5: Pay and Buy
After verification, you pay by bank transfer in AED or USD from a bank account in your own name and make your first purchase. Money you send is held only as payment for metal, earns no interest and is refunded automatically if not used within 30 days.

Final Checks: Transparency and Compliance
You’ll always know how your data is used. EONA handles personal data in line with its Privacy Policy and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.
