Owning physical gold is only part of the picture — how it is stored matters too. EONA combines professional vault storage with an online account. Whether you hold 1 gram or much more, your holding is recorded against specific bars.
Professional Vault Storage in Dubai
Your allocated metal is stored with Loomis, an independent vault operator, in Dubai. Loomis provides secure storage and logistics to banks and other financial institutions.
Zurich and Singapore are planned locations (coming soon). They are not currently available, and moving metal between vaults is not a current feature.
Allocated Ownership
Unlike pooled gold or ETFs, EONA records your holding against specific bars (or a recorded share of them), not a general claim on a shared stock. Your metal is recorded separately from EONA’s own assets. See our article “What Happens If EONA Shuts Down?” for more.
Independent Checks and Clear Records
Vault stock held with Loomis is subject to independent checks, reconciled against EONA’s records. Your account shows your holdings, the storage location and the bar serial numbers your holding is recorded against.
Insurance
The vault operator, Loomis, maintains insurance under its own policy. EONA does not promise that it covers you or your metal directly or in full. Insurance does not cover falls in the gold price.
Simple and Clear
Traditional gold storage can involve paperwork, brokers and unclear custody chains. With EONA, you open your account online and see everything in your account. Storage costs 0.50% per year for gold and 1.00% for silver, plus 5% VAT (see our Fees & Spread page).
